The gods bestowed gifts upon only a chosen few: light, longevity, and healing, to help them face any adversity. But light, corrupted by time, gave birth to its opposite. Thus were born the bearers of both forces.
Twenty years have passed since the end of the war and the rebirth of Aetheria, the Golden City rising over one half of the island. With the bearers divided, peace seems unbreakable. In Aetheria it never rains, there are no storms, and life is lived with the certainty that, come morning, the sun will shine once more. Yet that peace begins to falter with the arrival of something unknown—a silent chaos threatening to change everything.
Amara Avarlock, a mortal untouched by the blessings of the gods, will be drawn into the search for answers about what lurks within the shadows.
